Often, when it comes to natural things, the more we know about our surroundings, the more we appreciate the harmony and beauty of nature. Recently, I had the opportunity to spend much of a brilliant summer day walking the trails on Jasper Mountain.
I stopped often to take photographs and make a few notes. There were deer, wild turkeys, wildflowers, incredible cloud formations, a brace of Golden Eagles soaring high over the plateau, large and small birds of various descripta, trees, trees, and more trees. (Be sure to view the gallery below.)
One of the factors that makes Tennessee such a beautiful state is the many species of trees. A day walking along quiet woodland trails, with shadows of clouds dancing on tree covered Tennessee mountains is a great day. Some of the day’s events are shared in this post.
