It’s winter time on the Cumberland Plateau of southeast Tennessee, home of Jasper Highlands, Tennessee’s most scenic mountain community. Time for a crackling fire, a good novel, ballgames on TV, reflection on what matters, what once was, how beautiful winter can be, and gifts that keep on giving.
Regarding the latter, the squirrel in the photo, perched on one of my all-time favorite gifts (let’s call it a ‘squirrel lounge’), has just enjoyed some corn on the cob. Enjoy these photographs from Tennessee and the thoughts they might generate.
